We would like to move into a neighborhood that we know has a very strong community. If society does collapse, then we know we can’t survive for any length of time unless we are circled up with others. Therefore, we are hoping to buy this house which is close to foreclosure (long story as to how we know that). We need God to show up so that we can buy into the neighborhood at an affordable price.
Short-term survival. Long-term recovery.
In the short-term we need a community; thus the possible move to this neighborhood. If I didn’t think the collapse would happen for another 5 – 10 years, I would invest more time in creating the self-sustaining community. I still want to do this, but don’t feel I have the time to put it together. It really would be the perfect scenario if I could get that done, however: just one move, less money spent overall, etc.
